Fall Minis at Beale Air Force Base

With my husband serving in the Air Force, I've been fortunate to be part of a strong, supportive military community that I can immediately connect with every time we relocate. While moving a business every 3 to 4 years comes with its challenges, the military community consistently shows up—whether it's through model calls, signing up for discounted sessions, or simply offering support during each transition.
This session was one of those special opportunities. I put out a model call for a family with a baby or toddler, and we planned a shoot on base in a stunning olive orchard (those gorgeous trees you see below). The Haan family reached out, and we spent about 30 minutes together. Their little boy lit up the moment trucks and planes were mentioned—we played, pointed out planes overhead, and made all the truck noises.
What stood out most was the love they shared. Every image captured their genuine connection and joy in simply being together. Moments like these remind me why I do what I do, and why I’m so grateful for this incredible community.
