My stepdad, Fred, was honored when Rob and Stephanie asked him to officiate their wedding ceremony. As the one who played a pivotal role in bringing them together, they shared how deeply impactful he has been in their lives. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Fred happily accepted. The ceremony took place on a crisp, chilly December morning at Rock the Ruins in Indianapolis— a location that holds so much significance for the couple.

When we arrived, Fred asked Rob if he was nervous, and Rob’s response was perfect: “Nope, I get to marry my best friend today.” From that moment, the morning was filled with laughter, love, and pure joy. Though it was my first time meeting them, their bond was immediately undeniable. The ceremony, while untraditional, was exactly what they both wanted and brought them the most happiness.

I’m so grateful to have been part of their special day and reminded that your wedding can truly be whatever you make of it. Thank you, Rob and Stephanie, for including me in your beautiful moment!
