In-Home Maternity Session

The other day, I went to the park with a few of my mom friends and found myself asking if this weather was typical for California. The sun was shining, and it already felt like summer in February! To my surprise, I learned that spring here arrives much earlier than in any other state I’ve lived in. As I begin rotating my sweaters out of my closet, I can't help but think back to some of my favorite spring sessions—and this one, without a doubt, stands out.

This sweet family is one we met through church, gathering at their home weekly for small group. They were about to welcome their little boy after experiencing a loss, and the excitement of their oldest daughter becoming a big sister was contagious. We took pictures throughout their home— in the nursery, living room, front porch, and backyard. Momma even made a few outfit changes, and each moment perfectly captured the love and connection they share. It was truly an honor to be able to document their joy after such a season of longing.
